Day 15: I can see clearly now...

The picture itself is quite blurry but the babies are now seeing more clearly! Their eyes are completely open now. They are leaving the nest and exploring EVERYTHING including the food bowl! Now is a great time to feed them baby food from your fingers which they will happily lap up and nibble away at. Not only is this a great tool for socialization but it also gives momma a break and will fill up their little tummies a little. Be sure not to give them too much though! A few licks per baby is all that is needed. By now you should be holding them several times a day because right now they are most vulnurable now that they can see you. Be sure to keep things quite, and calm and to only talk softly to them and around them. They will grow to learn that you are someone they can trust and love and not be afraid of.

Below is a video of a 15 day old baby getting used to her new found ability to see and get around!

Day 16: More Rattie

In my own personal opinion, right now the babies are at the ULTIMATE stage of cuteness! Their fur is poofy and their faces are scrunched and baby like. They are sweet and loving and social now and will actually interact with you. They will even find a comfy spot in your hand and just fall asleep right there. Momma is starting to want out of the nursery more while she still is trying to keep up with all of her babies. They are able to drink from a water bottle now and are starting to nibble on solid foods.

Day 20: inquizative izative...

The babies are starting to develop their own personalities at this point. There are some that run and hide when a loud noise occurs, and others that come to see what that noise was. Some love attention and enjoy falling asleep in your hands or playing only with you. Others don't mind the attention but would much rather PLAY PLAY PLAY! Every single day they each become more of an individual and if you spend a lot of time socializing this litter you will know their personalities like the back of your hand. Continue to play with them daily as the social interaction is KEY! This is a crucial stage in their lives when they are starting to interact with you. Make sure it's always pleasant for them.

Day 21: Little Rascals
